Growing up in Newberg laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to service. After graduating from Linfield University, that commitment led me into nonprofit management and eventually to East Africa, where I spent years living and working in Tanzania while raising my family. Serving vulnerable communities and helping others build brighter futures has always been at the heart of my work.
Returning to Newberg to support my son’s dream of playing soccer in the United States brought our family back to the place that has always felt like home. Today, I work as a data analyst for Yamhill County while continuing to serve locally on the Newberg Rate Review Committee and the Newberg-Dundee School District Boundary Committee.
I’m running for Newberg City Council because I believe it’s time to give back to the community that raised me. Newberg deserves leadership that listens, plans for the future, and focuses on the issues that matter most to families—affordability, cost of living, quality of life, and creating opportunities for the next generation to thrive. Together, we can preserve what makes Newberg special while ensuring it remains a welcoming, vibrant community for generations to come.
